Terms & Conditions

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations should always be made at least 24 hours before the appointment otherwise a late fee of at least 50% of the appointment will be due – please be aware that most insurance companies will not cover cancellation charges.

  • Appointments can be amended or cancelled by calling using the button below.

  • We will send out confirmation emails and reminder texts for your convenience, but the responsibility for appointment attendance remains with the patient.

  • If you do not adhere to our terms, you cannot receive a refund.

PAYMENT INFORMATION AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Dr Saal (as part of SMS Healthcare Limited) operates a pre-payment policy. No-insured patients can make payment prior to the appointment.

  • Once you book an appointment with Jackie Bryant, our PA, you can confirm by payment.
  • There is a secure link to Stripe on the Payments page, within 24 hours of booking an appointment slot.

  • You are required to agree to these terms and conditions prior to payment, so please do read this carefully.

  • If we do not receive payment, your appointment will be offered to another patient.

  • We use Stripe which accepts all cards.

  • Unpaid consultations with SMS Healthcare Limited, will be passed to our  debt collection agency. It is then a discussion between them and the patient. This company has its own charges, including admin costs and interest on the balance.

  • It is the patient’s responsibility to inform any third party of the payment terms and conditions for your treatment. SMS Healthcare Ltd is not responsible for organising payments from third party members.

  • Your invoices and patient correspondence are by encrypted email.

  • We advise all patients that it is in their best interests to allow us to liaise with their family doctor. This avoids problems of medication interactions, treatment of illnesses that cause psychiatric symptoms, and modification of medications, eg Blood Pressure meds, that can cause or worsen depression, for example.

PRESCRIPTION FEES AND ADMISSIONS

  • We do not charge  prescription fees
  • We do not use in-house pharmacists
  • Pharmacists can, and often charge a dispensing fee, on top of the cost of the medication.
  • This dispensing fee varies from pharmacy to pharmacy.
  • The aim is for your GP to take over prescribing once you are well, if you are comfortable with this. We are happy to continue prescribing for you if it is more convenient.
  • Everyone runs out of meds at the last minute and we can try to arrange a prescription for you at short notice, but it is not always possible

  • We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office .
  • The GMC, CQC and HCPC have clear guidelines how Dr Saal must manage your information, in a secure and safe way. He must abide by these rules

  • It is called privileged information– for example an Insurance company may have commissioned a report, and you, the patient, wishes to see its content – after all, it is your clinical information. Requests for a copy of the report must be sent to the Law Firm in question
