These two hills: your Knowledge and Skills Hill, and the Performance Hill

A rope bridge connects the hills.

  • It is called an Intention Bridge,
  • A motivation Bridge,
  • or a Performance Bridge.

in ADHD, it’s rickety, and lots of slats are missing.

The red bit of your brain is the rope bridge. We can do only 10 minutes on it, and then we need a 3 minutes break……So you step off the rope bridge.

To get started, first reassure yourself that you wont stay on that painful, scary bridge for more than 10 minutes –

That red bit of brain doesn’t have a timer – it can’t stop – hyperfocus anyone? Sound familiar?

An Egg Timer will solve your problems as it keeps time. It does what your red brain just cant do

So now we have some info.  Our red brain doesn’t do Time.

The sad news is that it can’t be trained to do Time. It’s a sort of “time dyslexia”.

The good news:  we do have an assistant – just like Glasses for short sight. And like glasses, we’ll always need them.
